What you can ask about
The connection can query the following types of data:Connections are read-only and scoped to the single account you chose when you signed in. They can
only see data in that account.
Filtering
You can narrow any question with conditions. Your assistant supports filters such as:- Numbers and amounts — equals, not equals, greater than, less than, and ranges (for example, donations between $100 and $500).
- Dates — before, after, and ranges, including relative ranges like “the last 30 days” or “this year.”
- Text and categories — exact matches, “is one of,” and “includes any/all” for tags and lists.
Totals and breakdowns
Beyond listing rows, the connection can summarize data:- Totals and averages — sum, average, minimum, maximum, count, and distinct count (for example, total raised, average gift, number of unique donors).
- Group by category — break a metric down by a field, such as revenue per campaign.
- Group by time — bucket a metric by day, week, month, quarter, or year, such as monthly donation totals over the past year.
- Top results per group — for example, the top 3 donors in each campaign.
All monetary values are in US dollars, in both your questions and the answers. No cents
conversion needed.
Things to know
Date ranges
Date ranges
Date ranges are interpreted in your account’s timezone. You can use relative ranges (“last 7
days,” “this quarter”) or specific dates. Some data types limit how far back a single summarized
query can reach (typically several years).
Result limits
Result limits
A single query returns up to 100 rows at a time. For larger questions, ask for a summary or a
top-N list, and your assistant will aggregate rather than list every record.
Rate limits
Rate limits
To keep things responsive, the connection limits how many queries it runs in a short window
(roughly 120 list queries per minute and 30 summary queries per five minutes). If you hit a
limit, wait a moment and ask again.
When an answer looks off
When an answer looks off
If a number doesn’t match your dashboard, ask your assistant to show the filters and date range
it used. The connection returns structured errors when a question can’t be answered as asked, so
your assistant can usually correct itself and retry.
Example prompts
- “What’s our total raised this year, broken down by month?”
- “List the top 10 donors by lifetime giving.”
- “How many recurring plans are active right now?”
- “What was the average gift size for the Spring Gala campaign?”
- “How much did the silent auction bring in?”
- “Show me contacts in Texas who gave more than $1,000 last year.”
